Price Just Reduced!
Halcyon is for sale in Tahiti, waiting to whisk her next owners through the paradise islands of French Polynesia and beyond. Skip the long ocean crossing and jump straight into cruising some of the most beautiful islands in the world!
Designed by Robert Perry, the Valiant 40 is a proven and trusted offshore vessel. The hull is solid fiberglass with a canoe stern and offshore cockpit. Her modified fin keel provides a perfect balance between stability and maneuverability. She is equally comfortable underway and at anchor. Halcyon recently got a major upgrade with a new Beta Marine 50 HP engine (only 500 hours).
The boat has been well maintained by her current owners, a young married couple, both USCG licensed 100-ton captains. Some of their adventures have been memorialized in local PNW and national sailing magazines, bestowing Halcyon with her own bit of notoriety!
She comfortably sleeps four in two private cabins with room for two more on settees and/or sea berths. The sizeable U-shaped galley and large salon table make for easy entertaining. The storage is spacious, without compromising performance. The living space is well insulated, keeping it cool in the tropics and warm in high latitudes.

Halcyon is in excellent condition for her age, and most of the work she needs now is only cosmetic. The blue hull paint is not in great shape – there are small cosmetic-only blisters in the paint that cause white spots, especially around the bow – and could use a new paint job. The teak & holly floors down below need to be refinished. But otherwise, she is ready to safely and comfortably carry her new owners anywhere they want to go!
